TANDEM HOPE WORSHIP COLLECTIVE is excited to continue a new series titled, Living Like Christ with our host, Leisha Cole. In today’s episode, we conclude our four-part episode with guests, Audrey Statler, Alexis Torres and Rachel Hicks, in which we discover how to best pursue God’s Wisdom and biblical humility. If we’re going to live like Christ, we need to be humbled, for Christ Jesus is The Humble King. Also in today’s podcast episode—we discuss Proverbs 8 & 16. How does Christ correct the pride in us? How can we become more humble like Jesus? One of our guests, Audrey Statler empathetically states, “I think our Church is more inviting to “The Pharisee” than to “The Brokenhearted.” Ouch. But this can be so true of our Christian culture. We must remember that true humility comes from a head and heart knowledge of our secure identity in Christ Jesus. Biblical humility isn’t thinking LESS of yourself, but thinking of yourself LESS. And for those of you who struggle with low self-esteem, Leisha Cole encourages you to continually study and meditate on Scripture that says how God delights in us. “That’s been really freeing for me to repeat that Scripture back to myself,” she states. For those of you still unsure if you struggle with pride rather than embracing humility, consult the conviction of The Holy Spirit. Also, simply put, Leisha Cole shared, “Pride says, ‘I deserve,’ while humility says, ‘Let’s serve.’” So good.
